The Fancy Pug grew from our shared habit of exploring auctions, estate sales, and overlooked corners in search of art and objects with character. What began as a hobby became a carefully curated shop built around one simple idea: interesting homes deserve interesting things.

We are a husband-and-wife team based in Champaign, Illinois. Every item is selected, photographed, researched, described, and packed by us. Because most pieces are vintage or antique, we document age and wear honestly—patina is welcome; surprises are not.

Why the name? Pugs have impeccable taste, unreasonable confidence, and a knack for finding the best seat in the house. Frankly, that felt like the right standard.
